01 / The cause

It swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries. A house on it moves every season, and the doors and the brick show it first.

Steel, down to soil that holds.
We turn piers down until they bear on stable ground, then tie the footing to them. Homes, commercial buildings and solar arrays.
03 / Wall anchors
Bowing walls pulled back.
A plate inside, an anchor out in firm soil, a rod between them. The wall stops moving in, and it stays put.
04 / Drainage
Water sent somewhere else.
Most wall trouble starts with water against the foundation. We find where it collects and pipe it away from the house.
05 / House lifting
Back to level.
We lift settled homes back to level, even ones that dropped more than 16 inches. Then the door closes the way it used to.

How the repair works
What is under your house.
A house in Denver sits on clay that changes size with the weather. The fix is not filling the crack. The fix is carrying the house on ground that does not move, and keeping water away from it.
1 · Expansive clayWet clay swells and lifts. Dry clay shrinks and drops. That is the movement you feel in the doors.
2 · Helical pierA steel shaft turned down past the clay to firm soil. A bracket carries the footing on it.
3 · Wall anchorA plate on the inside wall, an anchor in firm soil outside, a rod between. The wall comes back.
4 · Perimeter drainPipe in washed gravel takes the water away before it can push on the wall again.
